Lisa, When I first heard of this treatment for sore nipples, I called several pharmacists, one at the hospital and one at a local pharmacy--couldn't believe they couldn't tell me how to make normal saline. Called the local home health agency and a nurse looked it up in her manual. She told me 1tsp/cup. I have used that and have not had any complaints about stinging. I would like to know if this is the "practical" formula for normal saline as well as you! Thanks for asking the question.
