Hello all (especially our pharmacologists and Dr. Poinsette)

I received a call today from a mom who smoked crystal methamphetamine.  She
says it was pure.  Hale says half life of amphetamines is 8 hours so I am
thinking breastfeeding should be safe after 5 - 6 half lives.  I am not sure
how this would be affected by the fact that the drug was smoked.  Any
feedback is welcome.

Unless I hear otherwise, I have mom pumping and dumping for 48 hours.  If
shorter times are OK, this is important.  Baby is refusing formula and is
only 3 months old.
