Hi and good morning. I especially appreciate Barbara Wilson Clay and
Marsha Walker for their well thought out posts in the past day. I agree.
When we move out of the personal, and into the organizational movement
phase of advocacy, we then are able to DO something instead of sitting
on our hands. I totally agree that unless we are able to work at the
root of breastfeeding issues, and then work on the same level as others
who lobby hard for their interests (whether personal or financial,
corporate or otherwise), we are not going to move or shake.

I did something to change things years ago .. I started Lactnet...so
that we could have professional exchange of ideas. Send your $20 to
NABA. Join ILCA. As my colleague here says, one is either part of the
problem or part of the solution. I can whinge all I want over coffee
with my friends here, but if we all get moving on something, and take it
as I said, from the personal into the non personal and professional, we
can have our actions make more of a difference.

It's not about being believed. I think it is about gaining rapport.

Kathleen
