Well, you could tell them the story about the mother who tried to sterilize
her drugstore variety bicycle horn type pump, but failed to get all the
scalding water out of the  bulb..... When she began to pump, the incredible
suction created by the bulb meant that she couldn't get the pump (and the
scalding water) off her breast right away....  This is a true story,
related to me by one of my moms.  It happened to her mother!!

I have often used this story in classes to help mothers realize the
importance of using a pump designed by a company that knows what it is
doing!!!!!!
