Mary: Sorry to have used code again. FMS is fibromyalgia syndrome. "We"
(the scientific community) don't really know what causes FMS, but some women
(women out number men four to one for this disease), they experience
tingling, loss of sensation, and chronic pain (no these aren't
contradictory). Reynaud's syndrome can be part of FMS, just as it can be
part of Sjogren's. If circulation is improved and nerves are relaxed, the
symptoms appear to improve.

The vasospasm-like affect from yeast is the "blanching" that is described
in the Lactation Consultant Series #18 (avail from LLLI) and frequently
found upon clinical inspection of patients or even just asking them (does
your nipple look like all the blood has drained out of it?). My
understanding of this, as well as fairly extensive experience with blanched
yeast-infected breasts, is that the byproducts of yeast and sugar= alcohol
and other stuff, has a toxic effect on nerves and blood vessels. In some
people this causes constriction of nerves and inflammation of vessels and
ducts. Thus, we have blanching/spasm of the nipples and inflammation of the
ducts leading to a not so lovely result of backed-up, painful "pipes".

High doses of Niacin, as well as magnesium, calcium, and essential fatty
acids, are all effective.
