On Sat, 27 Jan 2001, Jo-Anne Elder-Gomes raised a question:

> weighing the mother at bedtime and first thing in the morning was a

> enough method for estimating the milk intake of babies who slept and

And the mother would survive how?

Well, JoAnne, the story doesn't say. I would guess that on the nights that
the moms ate, drank, or peed, the research team just didn't get their data!
I know I logged plenty of nights with a nursing toddler where I didn't have
to
get up for any of those little needs, so there must have been SOME nights
when the system worked in the research team's favor.
