Hi Jennifer,
I wonder if this mum would be ameniable to putting babe to the breast for
comfort or even feeding at the breast with a breastfeeding supplementer for
some feeds. At least them they'll both get some of the impact of
breastfeeding even if the baby is not getting breastmilk.
I would suspect that the problem with the specialists is twofold, they don't
understand the importance of human milk and they don't know that relactation
or donor milk are real options.
