Dear jay:

Just an and further more to Martha's remarks about cranial/sacral therapy.
Dr. Upledger has built on the foundation laid by his predecessors and goes a
bit farther. He uses the bones of the cranium and spine as "handles" to
release restrictions in the viscera and the other soft tissues. In the
process, the "stuck" bones (and yes, all the cranial /sacral bones have a
movement and rhythm, and the cranial bones remain separate and moveable for a
person's entire life, contrary to popular myth) get unstuck and may even
change the appearance of a person's face.

As a cranial/sacral therapist in training, I have seen "magic'' happen with
colic, suck problems and a whole host of other things in infants. I am
trained to work on infants and it is a very gentle and effective adjunct to
my other LC strategies.

the Upledger institute provides an extensive training program for those
health care professionals who have previous experience with hands on
therapeutic modalities. (I do.)

Check out a DO and/or a cranial/sacral therapist in your area. Better yet, go
have a treatment. A cranial treatmet is one of the most relaxing and
enjoyable experiences you'll ever have.

Alison
