I'm reading with great interest the responses to whomever posted that they
didn't like hospitals sending mothers home with breastpumps. I was also
interested in the response given, pro sending them home with a good pump.
 For a couple of years
We had a hospital that sent EVERY breastfeeding mom home with a medela
starter SNS.
Women who were nursing beautifully had them as a gift from the hospital. <?>
The postpartum Nursing staff thought every mom Breastfeeding should get one.
There theory was; instead of giving a bottle they could use the sns on the
breast or to finger feed.
I personally agree with Nancy Sherwood that haveing LLL phone number is more
helpful than any gadget when you come home from the hospital.
I guess If hospitals feel compelled to give things away its proubly Better
to error on the side of breastfeeding gadgets then forumla compamies plastic
carry bags.
