Mary Ann, instead of handing people information that I find is unwelcome at
times, I would take Jack Newman's approach here. I would ask *them* ,
politely, if you can muster it, for documentation of their practices.  They
will be hard pressed to document that kind of blatant misinformation. If you
ask nicely, like you really want to know, they will squirm. They know that
there is no literature to support abm as the "gold" standard...and that they
have it ass backwards.

Sorry if I sound short, but this type of holier than thou attitude, from
this doc, from some in my area, and in general, sends my blood boiling.

 The doctor came back with " As long as
you are breastfeeding you are not giving the vitamins which are in ABM so you
have to give them by prescription."  What an argument for ABM!     I happen to
know her Ped and partner.  They are very conservative.  They even tell all their
mothers to supplement with ABM in the beginning.
