baby- 6 month old was propped and left to nap. the rubber nipple tip broke
off the nipple and baby aspirated it. mom did check on baby shortly after
leaving it. baby lives only as couple of blocks from hospital ;arrived DOA

One wonders why this didn't make 20/20 tonight like the case of Tabitha
Waldron in NYC whose baby Tyler died from malnutrition while she was bf him.
She's being prosecuted for murder. Turns out she had had breast reduction
surgery and no one told her what to watch for. then of course, there were
stories from Marianne Neifert about this being the tip of the iceberg with
many many women who have caused brain damage or death to their babies from
breastfeeding and not having enough milk.

Sigh.

Well, we should see a decrease in breastfeeding yet again. It's so much SAFER
to formula feed where we can measure how much the baby gets, doncha know?
When I get to heaven, I'm going to ask God why he didn't give us transparent
breasts with ounce marks on them so we would KNOW.

Sigh again.
