"So, how do all of *you* describe a nipple that looks
just fine?"

I usually tell mums to expect the nipple to look the same as it did before
the feeding (except more erect if it is early on in the breastfeeding
experience.) I often encourage her partner or support person to look at the
nipple from in front of the mother (head on) and then I point out how round
the nipple looks from this view after a good latch.
