Thanks to everyone who has written, especially to Denise Both, who provided
contact information for two LLL leaders, two IBCLCs, and a
breastfeeding-friendly/knowledgeable pediatrician in Germany. Miranda was
very relieved to have these names and numbers, as well as the other
suggestions and support people have offered to help her through this time.

She will remain in the hospital in Jena at least through Friday, getting
medicine to calm the contractions as well as some pain relief medication.
The doctors do not know why she is having contractions, but they are not
typical early labor contractions. The baby continues to be fine, showing
absolutely no distress during the long contractions.

Thanks again everyone!!!
