I don't have an citations but I am breastfeeding (at age 40 - my infant is
actually a toddler) and I just had my first mammogram. The director of my
women's imaging service simply asked me to nurse or pump just before the
mammogram so that the breast would be as empty as possible. She did not inform me
of any contraindications. And she was apparently able to get a sufficient
picture of the breast - she found no abnormalities.

It's just a data point of one, but my particular provider wrote a textbook
on mammograms, so I felt that the absence of a caution and her willingness to
perform the procedure was reassuring.
