Apologies in advance if this has already been mentioned. I've been unable
to read Lactnet for several weeks and am just skimming right now.

Aspartame is an excitatory neurotoxin and infants and young children are
more susceptible to damage by it than older people. I read up on it when
researching MSG for my own migraines. They do similar damage to neurons.
There has been research done on rat brains published in scientific
journals so this is well documented. The food industry doesn't want us to
know this about these products because we are very dependent on them for
taste. MSG is in almost all manufactured foods. They don't have to label
it as MSG unless it is 98% pure.

Anyone wanting more information on this can e-mail me.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Kathy Dettwyler. I was at a
breastfeeding conference and was updated about her, since I haven't read
Lactnet in a whiile.
