Phyllis alerts us:

<LCs in the US may want to check out this site and its series of links to
major cities. It has a series of baby icons, #4 of which is Health. On
that
page, you'll find a couple of paragraphs about breastfeeding - no info on
formula - and a suggestion to contact the "lactation consultants" in the
list that follows. What bothered me is the LACK of use of the IBCLC after
anyone's name.>

Out of curiosity, I decided to check out the site closest to me
(Chicago-miles and miles away.) I did as Phyllis suggested, and at least
they have IBCLC after Patricia Drazen's name. Maybe she can tell us more
about this service.

There were RN's and CNM's listed on the same breastfeeding help list, and
some of the classes referred to "board certified" experts etc.

One of the statements said: "Although it is possible to hand-express
breast milk, this is a very tiring exercise best reserved for emergency
situations."

I also clicked "Books", and while there were a great many "we" would
approve of, Ferber is also on it.

I guess the operative word on this site, is after all, "Commercial".
