I left that pearl out of my previous post. In order to overcome the gap
in our culture's "re-discovery" of the importance of breastfeeding,
perhaps we might consider expanding our educational efforts, targeting
and tailoring some for grandmothers, aunts and big sisters.

Their support and updated understanding can be crucial to successful
breastfeeding because the vulnerable new mother often spends many more
hours under their observation and guidance than she does her HCP's!
