Debbie has told of a mother who is concerned that her breasts will shrink if she breastfeeds. Studies show that breastfeeding is not the cause of breast changes during the peripartum period. See the newest article on this topic which is available as a free download.

Greater age, higher body mass index, greater number of pregnancies, larger prepregnancy bra size,

and smoking were identified as significant independent risk factors for postpregnancy breast ptosis (P < .05).
