Looking back, can you see any factors which might have contributed or
problems that might have been influential? Or does it seem to you to
have had more to do with personality than anything else?>>

My second weaned about age 2, and looking back I regret nudging her
along. It wasn't about solids, as she didn't show much interest until
into her second year, but I kmow I put her off sometimes, shortened the
nursings when I started feeling antsy, and distracted her if I didn't
feel like nursing. She didn't seem to object too much, which I took to
mean she was "ready". I remember being surprised when she didn't nurse
anymore, as I thought from her babyhood that this would be the baby who
nursed forever.

My first baby nursed through the pregnancy and for almost a year after,
although very sporadically at the end. I don't remember taking the lead
as much with her weaning. Personality wise, the second born is much more
active and more likely to try new things than the first born.

Neither of them remember nursing, although we do talk about it. I have
dreams fairly often about nursing the second baby again, or nursing a
friend's baby, or having another baby and nursing.
