Hi Wendy,
It sounds like you have tried all the usual treatments for the mom and her
pain persists.  She could be reacting to one of the ingredients in APNO. I
would recommend gentle washing with soap and water, liberal use of pure
virgin coconut oil and gabapentin 900 mg/ day.   It's use for nerve pain
may be just what works for her.
Good luck with this challenging case.
