While chatting to a father-to-be before a breastfeeding class yesterday, I
was gobsmacked by a question he asked: "I've heard that breastfeeding is
better than giving formula. Can you give me the name of the researcher - is
there only one study?"

Towards the end of the class, his wife shared that although she wanted her
baby to have the best, the thought of a baby at her breast was repulsive. I
was able to speak to her briefly after the class and I'm hoping that after
the birth (an elective C-section), the baby will weave it's magic. Maybe
she is a candidate for pumping and bottle feeding EBM?

The recent posts on Code compliance seem to have lost focus. We don't need
to defend the need for good quality pumps, bottles etc, but we do need to
put pressure on companies to advertise ethically.
