Hi Denise,

Saw your message re: home visit bag and this is a fun subject for me -
thought I'd share with you what goes into mine. My husband bought me a
lovely gift two years ago - my home visit bag which is made of black canvas
type material and is so durable. The outside pockets I keep stuff like my
business cards/BF info guides, pens, calculator, small flashlight and my
personal items like wallet/keys. Back zippered pockets are like an expanding
wallet type briefcase and there I keep LC charting forms, pump rental
agreements, care plans, note paper, receipts/invoices, BF support group info
sheets, etc. On the inside of the bag is equipment such as eyedroppers,
cups, one manual accessory kit pump, breast teaching model, Lansinoh, starter
SNS, breast shells, finger cots, bra pads, two books on BF for sale (Nursing
Mothers Companion, Nursing Your BAby) and whatever may be more specific to
the consult (i.e. if mom needed regular SNS, etc.) When I speak at the
hospital on BF I stick my C/B GRaphics charts in there slant sideways (and
they fit!) and my video, along with other items.
I always bring an electric pump along with me and a manual pump accessory kit
in case mom needs it. Would be happy to go into more detail for you, should
you wish!! What's in your bag? I look forward to hearing from you!

Warmly,
Wendy
