<< ....extreme, almost unbearable itching, severe, burning pain, and what
are =
apparently thrush fissures (with bleeding and skin peeling off.) .........
When I talked to the mother yesterday, she told me that her breasts are =
becoming numb after each time she feeds the baby.>>

It's always hard to work out what's going on in a situation like this. But,
I'd pause and think - is this really thrush?
Unbearable itching and skin peeling - makes me think of dermatitis, rather
than thrush.
Is she describing nipple pain or breast pain?
Numbness - makes me wonder about vasospasm. Do her nipples go white after
feeds?
Did the clotrimazole cream make it worse? Did GV help?
The baby is 2.5 months old. What has happened recently? Antibiotics?
Introduction of other foods? Mother changed soap? (This seemed to be the
cause of nipple dermatitis in a woman I saw last week). Other skin problems
in mother or baby?
