Get rid of the pacifier!  A baby who is not gaining well may not have a
pacifier until consistent weight gain proven.  That's my "rule

Had a 5 week old baby arrive one day for poor weight gain.  Stopped
pacifier that day and he gained 3/4 lbs in 5 days!  Mom may need some extra
stim to  boost supply (via decent pump) but mom  in my case just nursed!
This can all be explained logically to mom re: pacifier getting stim that
breast needs etc.  Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
