Hello. My name is Stephanie Sperling RN IBCLC. I am pleased to be part of Lact net and to familiarize myself with other members. I have been a mother baby nurse for 16 years and a Lactation consultant sice July 2003. I am thrilled to be working on a post partum floor as a lactation consultant after may years of being the nurse that all the other nurses would ask to help thier patients to breastfeed. I m currently nursing my 4th child who is a beautiful 16 month old so I answer to my correct title as well as the mistaken "Lactating nurse". I even enjoyed the best one yet a few months ago the "Lactating DR" (how I wish there were more of those). I am eager to learn from my collegues experiences as there is so much to be learned and much work for us to do.
