via breastmilk was a case where a mom had a post-CS blood
transfusion before blood was tested.  When she subsequently became
HIV positive after having no other "risk factors" it was assumed she
got it from the blood.  (I don't know if it was shown that that
blood sample was infected or not.)  Then when baby bacame HIV+ it
appeared the only possible route was through mom's milk.<

In one of the early cases where something like the above scenario was what
was generally known, it turned out (private communication) that they baby
had also received a transfusion.  Would this change your understanding of
the possible mode of transmission?  It did mine.

Of course we may not be talking about the same case.
