Well this is frustrating for moms, babies, and LCs. You could ask the peds
and/or neos to look at the available up to date info (try to find something
from AAP or point out that hale is a peds pharmacologist, find his bio or
something). You could ask them to comment on this at a section meeting. Let
them know that this is a complaint you are getting from moms and that it is
really interfering with bf and moms satisfaction, and that moms have to pump
and the whole deal.  In my experience, a neo or peds doc would not like a
radiologist usurping their authority over the baby's care. (we all know the
mom is the real authority). You could ask the 2 depts (peds and radiology)
to meet and discuss this but I think the first way is better.
If alot of your moms attend prenatal classes, you might want to bring this
up and give them a "heads up" about this sort of thing happening, and
provide them info pre-emptively.
