Gonneke,  I think a good question would be, "Who hasn't passed on incorrect or not quite incorrect information?"  I believe that sooner or later most of us end up having to admit that we, too, have done that.  Just in having been around for awhile, many of us see that knowledge changes and what we once  thought was true is no longer considered true.  You have shown that flexibility of character that is open to change and been willing to "see" that the information you have had may be in error.  That takes courage and an open mind!
