With respect to the tree analogy - which I have enjoyed and embraced, we have
this weird fruitless mulberry tree in our front yard.  As the new buds began
to emerge the sill thing hadn't even finished dropping its leaves from last
year.  It just occurred to me that it might have been a visual analogy of
breastfeeding while pregnant...as the new leaves grew larger, the old ones
were all replaced, but quite a large number of them had stayed thru the
winter - and never had  before in the past 10 years.  Gave me something to
ponder about!
