I can't resist.  First I learn that Wisconsin considers mosquitoes the
state bird.  When living in Minnesota, it was drummed into me that the tiny
little critters were the Minnesota STATE bird!  Rumor had it that if one
stood still long enough, the swarm would carry one off!

Then I hear that the Biggest mosquitoes are Canadian and bite ONLY Jack Newman!

My blood seems to be very sweet as well.  No matter WHERE I am, I get
bitten--this has happened to me in the USA, in Canada (yes, I do cross the
nearby border fairly often), in Mexico (been there, too) and in nearly all
of the 40 US states that I have lived in at one time or another.

The worst I have ever encountered were on mountains (below tree line, to be
sure), and they were really vicious and into attacking in swarms that had
to be seen to be believed.
