It was a great "teaching moment." I told my 4 year old, my 15 year old and
my dh that these and worse techniques are used by ABM reps. Including the
time when the 15 yr old was an infant an a ABM rep walked *into the room*
during at the end of an exam and started talking to myself and the doc
about her new, improved product.

That ped was not kept in our employ much longer after that, as he stood
silent as the rep gave her speil.

I wish the rep on ER had been an ABM rep,and Luca had done the same thing
but I can't see that happening on this show. Or anywhere on TV.
