Reading some of the other stories reminded of two strange places I nursed
(ironically with the same child). One was during a blood donation. I was
called to donate blood again and since they were having a "donation day" at
a local mall they asked me to do my donation there. Half way through the
procedure my son became inconsolable (my older children were pushing him in
the stroller along the mall - this son had severe dairy allergies, had
gotten some milk products and started having loose stools, which were very
irritating). So I started nursing him, since he was so uncomfortable and
probably in pain also he started kicking so the person doing the blood draw
had her daughter put on a glove and hold the needle on my arm so my son
wouldn't kick it off. This answers that age old question of can you donate
blood while nursing.

The second was while having a pelvic exam during my first prenatal visit
with his younger brother - I also discovered my OB didn't have a problem
with tandem nursing - even during the pelvic!
