How I wish this were true.  However in the real world of IBCLC's employed by
hospitals you can only give info tempered by what she has been told by the
Dr.  In other words you could say "sometimes it is done this way..." but
could not say that it "should" be done like this.   I was threatened with my
license being pulled (RN) and being terminated for less.  Neither was
 carried out but I did loose the desire to fight for a long time.
