To all of you who responded, privately and to the list, a big thank you. I
talked to the person who wanted me to intervene and asked for the name and
number for the midwife, but was told it was being taken care of. The matter
was presented to another midwife to deal with and she was not as concerned
with "cultural ettiquette" and simply told her to stop. I am still going to
try and convince her to give up the name so I can call and perhaps offer a
"free breastfeeding training" in a friendly way. Even though she says she
will stop, I would like her to know a bit more about physiology of female
mammary glands so she won't feel she is leaving out some vital information
and perhaps occasionally share with a mom a bit of her "secret" way to get
more milk. I will pursue this further after the holiday and hopefully
convince someone to give me her name---or eventually I will be hearing from
one of her moms.

Enjoy the spring holidays, whichever you celebrate,
Pam Mazzella DiBosco, IBCLC
