Hello all.  I have been checking the archives this morning but can't quite
find what i want--namely, a synopsis of the research on how bottle feeding is
more stressful than bf for premies, and why. (Doctor says baby must take
bottle "to test his suck", even though he has had pacifier for a while.  There
are no smart scales at my local hospital unfortunately.)  Mom is concerned
that nipple confusion is going to occur, and her supply is so low now after
pumping for a month that she really (in my opinion) needs stimulation at the
breast asap.  I got names for some really good articles on the subject;
however, I do not know of a way to bring up articles from journals online if
the journal itself is not online.  Any ideas at all?  I am going to meet with
the hospital LC and the doc today with mom in nursery to see if we can make
any progress....I want to be seriously aware of the collective knowledge out
there so I can better advocate for this mom.
