Hi All,

After a 3 month maternity break I'm finally able to find time to read the
list again. I will reintroduce myself as I've been gone a while.

I am a student lactation consultant, and have been working for an IBCLC in
private practice for 4 yrs. ( Where I am lucky enough to be able to take my
children to work with me) I am in contact with 2-50 BF moms every day that I
work. I have taken 2 week long breastfeeding courses. I have run a twice
monthly mom to mom support group at my place of employment for over 2 years.
I plan to sit THE EXAM as soon as I have enough hours.

My husband and I have two beautiful boys, 5 yrs and 3 mos. Both breastfed
(the older one was weaned at 18 mos due to my ignorance). Both boys were born
tongue tied (and subsequently clipped). My first is a cardiac patient and had
open heart surgery at 11 days. My second seems to be highly allergic so we
are (as always when parenting) learning as we go. We are still holding out
hope for a girl and planning on trying for # 3 in the next year or two.

Looking forward to reading lots of posts. Truly a Lactnet addict.
