I think the point is that while Emma was able to manage that herself, she can't possibly assist all the moms who might face something similar. That's where some on the list have pointed out that some infrastructure or protocols might be helpful.

I think that following the basic rules of internet dating would go a long way in addressing these issues. Don't exchange too much personal info, only meet in very public and well-populated places, etc. After taking those precautions, the vast majority of milk-sharers will likely find themselves in the company of well-intentioned, honest, like-minded mamas (and any desired friendship, further donation, and sharing of personal info, etc can take place then).

If someone is faced with something they can't manage (harassing phone calls, stalking, etc), there are public service offices they can bring in, like the police. And of course, at first wind of something going awry, there will likely be a legion of Internet moms at the disposal of the victim.

Some of them will not be quite so fine, capable and so on - as I wasn't, some years ago, when I got embroiled with a persistent caller and needed the backing of my organisation to bale me out. Or one of the volunteers I work with, who had a series of unpleasant and threatening contacts from someone who didn't actually have a baby (apart from the one in her head), and who needed the organisation's protocols, and, crucially, personal support, to enable her to use her intelligence, capability and so on (and not leave the organisation).

EoF are probably aware of the risks by now if they have been reading, and think that because they can envisage dealing with them just fine (whatever the risks are? all of them?), there is no need to have support, already in place, for others.
