What a treasure trove to return home to after our successful World
Breastfeeding Week family picnic! (BTW, I wore my Loving Support makes
Breastfeeding Work tshirt)

Excellent article, Allison! Sent my letter right away, including comments
to Mr. E. and Dr. Hays on specific quotes in the article.

Rob, I too get many questions re formula "closest to human milk". My first
response...there isn't one! I do mention that while charts show
%s of prot, carbs, fats being comparable that even these are not the same
types found in the real thing. Not to mention all the other things that
are missing and the things there that maybe shouldn't be.
I also survey each Breastfeeding class I teach about the mailings and ask
what they marked on the cards they sent in. It has become obvious that the
parents who get the MOST actual ABM are those who specify EXCLUSIVE
breastfeeding and the ones who get little or nothing (maybe a few coupons)
are those indicating at least some ABM use. Their timing of mailings is
also quite interesting...start asking your patients!
