Hi folks. I didn't see the original post on dry eyes, but have this
anecdotal info to contribute. I have not been able to wear my contact
lenses for the first two years post-partum with both children that I nursed
long-term, due to dryness. It didn't bother me enough to even notice when I
was wearing my glasses, but I definitely couldn't wear my contacts any more.
The eye doctor said the dryness was typical of breastfeeding women, was
similar to vaginal dryness post-partum, and would go away when the nursing
tapered off, as it did.
