I would not recommend that mom try to decrease her supply at this time. If
she is becoming exhausted or overwhelmed, she could cut back slightly or
take a longer stretch at nite. Is she taking a longer stretch at nite?
As someone else posted, often moms w/ infants hospitalized long term
experience drops in supply. She can freeze her milk and use it months later.
If her nipples are very painful and cracking, possibly due to a too small
flange size, she might need to cut back a little until that situation
resolves. Lucky and good that she has this abundant supply right now.
