  I would try to position  baby on the left in a "football" position  with
mom sitting back.

  I would also consider either herbs/homeopathy to build her immune system
and see if that is the "right" direction... that there has been so much
distress to the system that it needs help to rebuild. Alternatively or at the
some time if the physician would consider giving mom a low dose of
antibiotics on the premise that she is harboring a low grade infection that
has not been cleared by the antiobiotics up to this point - and clearly a
culture would be helpful in planning the meds.
