I am very interested in the use of pancreatic enzymes by a nursing
mother to alleviate food allergy symptoms in her baby. The very
limited research that has been done used a prescription product,
Pancrease MT-4. I wonder if digestive enzymes available at natural
food stores could achieve the same effects? Or is there something
special about the prescription variety?

I have a personal motive: my 2.5 mo baby seems to be highly sensitive
to many foods in my diet, and he continues to have problems despite
my eliminating all the things that bothered my older two. Is it
worth a try for me to take the OTC enzymes?
