Dear Lee Galasso and fellow Lactnetters

Please accept my post as hypotheses.  I gave examples of why I am wondering these things.

It is not a peer reviewed published paper with adequate referencing and should not be shared as evidence.

My work is under construction.  Even the spelling errors and slang language (eg, vapours/vapors refers to the wee amounts breastfed babies receive in the early days) are indications of sharing thoughts and not official academic work.

How fluids move across the placenta is really not clear, and I probably should be speaking more to osmotic pressure than diffusion.

Remember, Lamp and Macke (2010) did not find a relationship between maternal IV fluids and neonatal weight loss, so we are still without an answer about how fluids are affecting moms and babes.

My answer regarding sharing is no, please do not treat the post as a proper paper.  To share as such might diminish both our credibility.

Joy
