Four days after my second
granddaughter was born $28 worth of formula and coupons landed on my
daughter's front
porch. All births in the US are a matter of public record and can easily be
accessed from any birth registry in any city. Since my daughter had not signed
up for any formula clubs, bought maternity clothes under her name or any other
purchase route,

However, I've just discovered that if you purchase a gift for someone at one
of the Maternity Shops, they may ask you the name & address of the person for
whom the gift is for, plus the due date, and get it from there.

I'm a bit surprised that that soon after the baby was born that the birth
registry people (whoever they are) had their act together enough to not only
register the birth, but have a list to send out to the formula companies (or for
the formula companies to access) in time to get it there in four days. Even
mailing something takes a bit of time.

However it happens, it is sneaky.
