Denise,
I beleive in moist wound healing.  Have used boric acid ointment on my own
wounds for years....lansinoh works just as well, without anything toxic.
Husband is a pianist, and sometimes gets deep cuts on the side of his thumb
from doing glissandos, he finds that using lansinoh on them significantly
accellerates healing.
