I have an idea:  It would be great to share the general social and governmental attitudes toward breastfeeding and neonatal care in the many nations represented here on LACTNET.  Here are some basic questions:

1.  Where are most babies born (hospital? birthing center? home?)
2.  Is there standard state or employer-funded maternity leave? How long?
3.  Who pays for LC?
4.  Is there a restriction on formula marketing?
5.  Are there laws protecting breastfeeding in public or pumping at work?

And, of course, any statistics or information that would be interesting.

Jess
