For Cherie:
The text you mention, by Gay Palmer, will be very useful as a resource.
Why not use some hands-on stuff - taking with you a box of the more blatant WHO Code breaches you have seen? Get the parents to assess the likely impact of the item, as a marketing tool. Get them to think and compare with a similar (imaginary) ploy by manufacturers of other products, e.g. cigarettes, diet pills. Ask them what people usually do with something perceived as a gift - how it gets under their guard and creates a feeling of obligation to use it, or at least not throw it away. Show them some coupons for cases of artificial milks, and ask them what they think this sort of marketing would cost - and who ultimately pays (the consumer, thorugh rfaised prices, of course).
Give them the visual input - and plenty of opportunity to think it through for themselves, perhaps in groups of 3-4. They will remember this!
     I hope this helps.
