Yes, I agree that asking libraries not to stock books we hate is problematic
-- then even we can't find out what's in them; plus we're likely to be on the
other side of the issue the next time.  (Like the Canadian feminists who
worked to outlaw porn as exploitative of women -- and found the law applied
most of the time to books on women's health.)

However, I do think it is a fine idea to talk to your librarian and tell her
or him, in your capacity as an expert, which book on the subject *you* have
found most useful to your clients, and which have been the opposite, and why
-- so that the librarian can have an idea of what to recommend in particular
and what not, when readers ask.
