I had the honour of attending a 2-day Jack Newman conference the 16th
and 17th of april, these past 2 days. He was very interesting,
humourous, AND he speaks french very well! :-)

I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I now have a photo of my younger
daughter, Nyssa, with Dr. Newman himself (and myself in there too)
that my friend took for me.

I should say though, that I live a good 1.5 hour drive from the
conference, and my friend offered to have me stay with her, and I
don't have a babysitter near by the conference for my other daughter,
Sandrine, who is 3. She has stayed overnight before at my In-laws'
house (when Nyssa was born for 2 days) and did fine, so I wasn't
hestitant at leaving her again for a short time. This of course meant
that instead of (at the end of a very busy day when I was tired) going
home and nursing her, she had to do without for 2 days.

So after 2 days when I was preparing to leave my friend's house, I
called Sandrine to tell her I was coming soon to get her. She said
"Mommy?". I said yes, it was me, and I'd be there soon. She said
"Mommy, want nursies!" in a rather pitiful voice. She had evidently
been asking my mother-in-law if she could look at her breasts earlier
in the evening to make sure there REALLY was no milk in them. Poor
little girl. Well, you can be sure that the moment I got in the door,
she wanted her nursies right then, she even flung herself on the floor
at my feet whining that she wanted her nursies, so I quickly shed my
coat and sat with her and we cuddled a good 1/2 hour nursing I think.
:-) aFter that she was quite good humoured.

It was nice to feel wanted. :-)
