An interesting question. I've searched the Australian Medical 
Association Code of Ethics [1], and the two tenets that skirt closest 
to this issue are as follows:

1.1.p. When a personal moral judgement or religious belief alone 
prevents you from recommending some form of therapy, inform your 
patient so that they may seek care elsewhere.

2.1. g. Keep yourself up to date on relevant medical knowledge, codes 
of practice and legal responsibilities.
